I’ve been urging people to sign up (for free) to this place on and off, and once again they prove why, with an awesome article on Soviet ‘carrier killer’ anti-ship missiles (part 1, so one can assume part 2 will have data on the newer missiles), as well as the usual miscellaneous aviation news, like
– the first AN/APG-80 delivered to Lockheed Martin for UAE’s Block 60s
– last RAAF HUG F/A-18A/B Hornet delivered (APG-73 radar etc etc)
– MAKS 2003 news on weapons: discussion of the KAB-500S GPS guided bomb, KAB-250L (conversion kit used on standard 250kg bombs), Su-24SM (the domestic designation, Su-24M2 is the export designation- finally that’s resolved) upgrade, an improved KAB-500L with fixed laser seeker and bigger folded control surfaces, (200m minimum altitude drop, rather than 500m on previous models)
– first Eurofighter flight with an IRIS-T
– Bulgarian MiG-29s return to service (the first repaired/modernized ones)
etc etc and much more etc …
Please check this place out, as I’m worried about copyright issues.
