PZL I22 Iryda

While looking at info about the Su22, I came across pictures of the PZL I22 Iryda. The information that I have seen so far is sketchy. Here is what I know:

1. Built in 1980′ and 1990’s as a new trainer.
2. About 15 delivered and then withdrawn from service.
3. Possible use by Polish Navy.

I checked the threads and I saw this plane mentioned, however I am interested and want to know more.

1. What was wrong with the plane that it was withdrawn so quickly?
2. What were its flight carachteristics? (It resembles the Alpha Jet.)
3. What did the pilots who flew it have to say about the plane?
4. Is the program done or is the Navy still interested in the plane?
5. Why was it withdrawn as a trainer, but the Navy showed interest in it?
