Planes downed in a2a combat

I’m talking only about planes shot down by other planes, not sams. I’m concentrating now on 3rd gen fighters (F-16, Mig-29, etc)…

Has any F-15 or F-16 ever been downed in a2a combat? To my knowledge, no. There are only two claims that I know about, a Syrian pilot claims to downed an Israeli F-16 in 1982 with a Mig-21, and Russian Mig-23 pilots claimed they have downed Pakistani F-16’s over Afghanistan, but neither of these two claims has been proven. Are there any other claims?

F-14’s and F-18’s have both been shot down, during the 2nd Gulf war and during the Iran vs Iraq war…

Several Mig-29’s have been downed in Iraq by F-15/16’s using AIM-120A, in Yugoslavia by F-15/16’s using AIM-120B, and in Ethiopia, by Su-27’s using R-27. In all those cases, the Mig-29 was the 9.12B (the downgraded version for non-Warsaw Pact export countries), which is the least capable version of the Mig-29. This is also the most advanced aircraft that American fighter jets have ever engaged.

Have any Su-27’s or any third generation Russian fighter jet other than the Mig-29 ever been shot down?
