NORTHEAST ASIA REPORT
Taiwan’s military is set to buy U.S. C-27 Spartan anti-submarine warfare aircraft to bolster its defenses, a Taiwan Defense Ministry official said last week.
Maj. Gen. Huang Sui-sheng told reporters that the C-27 is being sought from the United States because the other main ASW aircraft, the P-3C Orion is no longer in production.
Huang said Taiwan would acquire ASW aircraft through leasing, purchasing on the international spot market or buying new U.S. planes.

Not sure how much stock I put in this report…can anyone confirm whether the C-27 is currently under consideration as an ASW platform for either Italy or Greece?
