Flicking through this month’s AFM I noticed the article about returning aircraft to RAF Marham. In previous editions pages were also dedicated to the Marham Tornado aircraft. Have we forgotten about the venerable Canberra PR9 (3 of) which also saw action in the recent unpleasantness? Once again the jets adorned with ‘The Winged Bomb’ maintained one of the highest serviceability rates flying sortie after sortie. I think it a shame that the RAF’s longest serving aircraft returned home unnoticed.
