For Phantom II — Rare Photo of Early F-4 Taxi Testing

This was an early aerodynamic design (later refinements included larger wing – to improve maneuvering performance)

These high speed taxi test proved the feasibility of the Mac Air concept and the aircraft moved into flight testing not long after this photo was taken.

Although this version of the F-4 did not feature tandem seating I note that it was a two-seater from early on none-the-less !!!! 🙂 🙂
