Japan threatens to attack Nkorea

This is intersting for two reasons: One Japan has a pacifistic(whatever that is) defence posture. But historically the Japanese have proven to be extremely aggressive when committed to combat.
So they also have a massive airforce with some of the best kit around. But, (1) do they have the weapons? (2) do they have the range?
According to estimates, Japan’s best aircraft, the F-15, just fall short of being able to reach Nkorea. Japan has no air to air refueling assets either.
It appears Japan doesnt posses offensive weapons like jdams or laser guided GBU’s.

So does this mean Japan is about to spend some cash?
