Greek Defence Minister in US to Pick Up New F-16 Block 52 Plus Aircraft, Meets with Rumsfeld and Journalists (31 March)
Greek Defence Minister, Yannos Papantoniou is in the US on the occasion of accepting the first F-16 Block 52 Plus Fighter Aircraft in Texas, on 2 April.
As presiding EU Defence Minister he will meet with his US counterpart Donald Rumsfeld and other US officials.
Today he will meet with Archbishop Demetrios, at the Orthodox Archbishopric in Manhattan. He will then meet with the editorial staff of the Wall Street Journal and later with that of the New York Times.

The total order is for 60 aircraft (40 F-16C and 20 F-16D), at the above hand over ceremony 3 F-16Cs and 2 F-16Ds will be present.
