Undoubtedly the most dramatic air action of the war was the raid at 6:04gmt on Friday, the shock and awe bombing of downtown Baghdad that evening. Anyone here who has seen those Abu Dhabi TV pics of about 30 2000pound JDAM’s exploding all at once amid the government buildings next to the Tigris can’t failed to have been awed by it, I certainly was!
I’ve had conflicting reports about the bombers involved in this attack, one report I’ve read says it was 2 B-52’s that did it, another report says 2 B-2’s were involved.
Anyone here know more?
