Tu-95 Interior & City names

I have just added some photos showing the cockpit of the Tu-95MS that
visited RAF Fairford in 1993 – thanks to Adrian Balch for them.

During my dig through my refs looking for cockpit photos, I found that
most agreed with Adrian’s photos and depicted a pale green interior
colour with the panels in that bright emerald green colour so common
during the Soviet era.

However I did find some photos in a Japanese Koku-Fan magazine that
showed the instrument panels as black.

And – I found a major mistake in the Aerofax profile on the Tu-95/-142!

The photo on page 83 looked so different from anything else I found that

I did some checking. This photo and the lower two on page 85 are
actually inside the cockpit of an Antonov An-124 Ruslan!

There are also some good, correct, colour photos of the cockpit in this profile.

I have also included some photos showing Tu-95MS’s named after Russian
cities – Saratov, Ryazan & Kaluga.

Just click on the appropriate photo at :-

If anyone has found any more – or any better close-ups – can they let me know ?
