aircraft combat servival info needed (not just abt electronic countermeasures and such)

as combat a/c developed and evalved over the years, so has the means to target, hit and destroy them. so i was just woundering, apart from the well know electronic countermeasures(jamming pods etc) and physical decoys (flares, chaff, teoing pods etc), what other combat servival features do modern a/c have?

i am especially interested in the measures taken by a/c like the f16 that has ‘wet wings’, ei, they use their wings as extra fuel tanks. what features do they have that provent the wing tanks from exploding if it is periced by hot foreign objects like shrapnal or gun/cannon fire? i heard sth abt the use of special fome to provent explostion in fuel tanks, are similar systems being used in the wing tanks, or do the a/c just use the fuel in their wings first and not bother with all that?
