Predator Down………

It has just been confirmed that the Iraqi airforce has managed to shoot down a predator UAV in the southern no fly zone.

It appears that the iraqi’s managed to penetrate the no fly zone for long enough to shoot the aircraft down.

own opinion:-

this must have almost certainly been a gun shot…or theres a damn good missile out there which we NEED to have.

aircraft type? who knows…..slow one tho(or ACCURATE pilot!)…..perhaps a helicopter?

this event brings to question the actual performance and posture of the Iraqi air force. Are they actively patrolling their side of the no fly zone?

how often do these incursions occur?

the JCS stated that the iraqi’s have been doing this for some years…is this their first success?
