Topics on most of the aircraft seem to have been flogged to death. But one aircraft type that hasnt been discussed much or exclusively is the Mirage2000-5 and its varients.
With the Indians at the preliminary stages of negotations to buy it as stated by the defence minister in parliment himself , how about a discussion on the latest varient of the Mirage- the specs and stuff.
What would India be looking in it if it decides to buy this aircraft. Is the Mirage2000-9 the UAE version or is it the latest varient. Does it use some components from the Rafale?
All in all what would be the configuration of the latest mirage2000-5. How would it compare with the current aircrat around and the aircraft to be inducted in the near future in the indian neighbourhood. Since India has the MKI what sense does it make in going for the mirage, though they do say that the IAF loves its Mirage’s.
Well if India goes in for the mirage it will mostly be cause the IAF has decided to increase the number of squadrons rahter than a replacment for the migs.With china getting more Su-30MKK’s how would the Mirage stack up against them.
