Single engined idea/derivative of the Su-30???

Attached along with an article concerning a possible 5th Generation Sino-Russian joint venture where India too was at one time wooed, wouldn’t you guys say that this is a sign that Russia is maybe breaking away from the philosophies it once held proud and dear for dual power plants for their top of the line and appealing fighter aircrafts???
