chinese ECM capabilities

hi all.

on this forum we usually like to measure the capabilities of a/c in terms of thurst-to-weight, radar range, radar sig and weapons. but ECM is also an ecential part of any good fighter, yet i have heard very little abt the ECM capabilities of any fighter in disussions.

it would be very interesting to find out more abt this important aspect abt modern combat a/c, and being a chinese AF fan, i would like to start off by discussing the ECM capabilities of the PLAAF.

it has often been asumed that the PLA’s ECM capabilities are poor, but what evidence is there to support these claims?

i have heard some reports abt modern russian countermeasure pods being supplied with PLA flankers, but the details on these pods are skechy. does anyone have reliable info on their capabilities, cost, effectiveness etc? does china get the tech or license for these pods as part of the j11 deal? and is there an indiginous chinese jamming pod? if so what are is capabilites and what fighter types are being equiped with it?
