Update the Romanian Air force scenario..

the year is 2005 and Romania’s economy has generated a large income, bringing the country’s GNP close to that of Italy, lots of tourists are flocking to Dracula land.

With more funds into the country, the ministry of defence would like to upgrade/update the countries air capabilities (naval, army, and air force), the goal is to make the military more NATO compatible (to help further integrate with NATO forces and possibly join NATO), and ward of any threats from the East (example, Moldova/Russia confrontation in 92).

The Ministry requires the Alouette IIIs are in urgent need of replacement and a multi role fighter to replace the retired MiG-23 and IAR 93, (thus relegating the IAR 99 to just advance training). There is also a requirement for a new basic trainer, and a replacement for the An-30, An-2, and Hong 5.

so how else would you reform the Romanian military? keep the Lancers and MiG-29? discard them and op for something else? Get an attack helicopter (Romania was once on the verge of building Cobras)..etc

some key notes are the extensive ties with French and Israeli companies Romania has.
