Brazilian Air Force (FAB) bombed, in the last 2 days, 2 of the 22 airfields used by small aircrafts that bring cocaine from Colombia. These airfields were localized in a remote and non-populated area in the frontier with Suriname and Guiana. In the operation, FAB used 4 AMXs and 1 R-99A. It was the first real operation of the FAB’s new airborne early warning aircraft which just got operational status a few months ago. FAB and Brazilian Federal Police will destroy all the 8 airfiels localized in Brazilian territory, and after november, will help in bombing the others 14 localized in Guiana and Suriname territory.
