Hi there Chaps – For once, not one of my own pics, but a nice air to air of an aeroplane which I think has never had the recognition it really deserves. Yes, it’s the good old Nimrod. I see them every day lifting out of Kinloss on their way to patrol the seas for all sorts of things, submarines, smugglers and on SAR missions. They fly support every time the RAF deploys aircraft overseas, maintaining SAR cover across the oceans. They fly round the clock, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Soon (we hope)to be replaced with recycled MRA.4s, the Old birds got life in her yet!
