What exactly is the difference between these two aircraft? Both seems to be multirole and capable of launching air to surface weaposn. It seems to me that the SU-30KN takes the modifications further, with a refueling probe and maybe a better IRST. Also some information suggests that the SU-30KN may also have a more naval purpose, such as the firing of airborn Moskit, Alfa or Yakhont missiles.
Just how many SU-27UB airframes does Russia have to convert into these aircraft?
