I was just checking the other day and discovered that the An-22 is one of the most used tpt’s in russian service.I then did a comparison with the C-17 and guess what?The An-22 carries more , further , with almost half the fuel for only a little slower.It has much better field performance(believe it or not), although I can’t vouch for tbo’s and maintenance figures.So…..is a 60’s russian design better than the latest US?
