LITENING & LANTIRN

In the most recent issue the matter of IDF/AF use of the LITENING pod without a Terrain Following Radar was oulined. I would appreciate input on what pros/cons there are to LITENING and the usefulness or lack thereof with the two pod LANTIRN system.
