RAF GBAD!

Currently, the RAF operates the Rapier Mk4(?), for short range AD.
1. what is the range and ‘no escape zone of the Rapier’?
2. should the RAF/UK be trying to extend its GBAD with medium/long range SAM’s?
3. how hard would it be to modify the AIM-120 on to a ground based platform, connected to link 16?
4. would a booster rocket be required?
