There is a rhoumour going around down here that the Gippsland Aeronautics GA-8 Airvan will be selected to fill the long lost light army aviation support role.
The army had lost this ability when they retired their remaining PC-6 turbo porters back in the early 90’s, and has since been looking fro a replacement. The amry has been seen lately at every major function where the Airvan has been on public display and it is belived that it is only a matter of time for an order to be made!
