First question. Some sources state that the B-1b has the capability to deploy air delivered sea mines to control sea lanes. My questions are these.. Is this true or not? Has this been tested? What air delivered sea mines are dropped? How many sea mines can be carried by a B-1b? Please add any other info if you know more about this; Like when could this capability be used?
Second question. I believe (not 100% sure) that Iraq had two Baghdad 1 AEW aircraft and four Adnan AEW aircraft before the allied slaughter in 1991. My questions are what happened to these planes since many sources claim different theories. Some sources claim that all the aircraft were destroyed in the Gulf War II and Some sources claim that all the aircraft flew to Iran before the slaughter really started. I was wondering if anyone had better sources on these aircraft. If any of these six planes did make it to Iran does anyone know (Tom) if Iran put those aircraft into operational use?? Any other comments would be very much appreciated..
