The Canadian Government is currently deliberating on the future of the Snowbirds, Canada’s military jet aerobic team and one of only three nine-plane military jet formations in the world.
Options include continuing to fly their existing aircraft (currently 40-years-old and already out of service in the RCAF), moving the team to turbo-props, or investing in new jets. We believe new jets are the only option to ensure the Snowbirds remain an internationally recognized symbol of Canada’s military and technological prowess, a national icon and symbol of Canadian pride, and the engine behind Canada’s $1 billion air show industry.
We encourage supporters from outside Canada to sign the petition also. Pls visit http://www.newjetsforsnowbirds.com and tell Canada’s leaders that the Snowbirds are to important to diminish or, ultimately, to lose.
thanx
