Boscombe Down museum is having an open day on 29th June 2002. As well as the museum there will be a wealth of family things to do. As with previous years, a static display of the modern test aircraft fleet will be on show.
The museum features many rare exhibits and has two Phantoms, two hunters, a Jp, a Mig 21, Swift F7 fus, several cockpits, huge model display and lots more. Normally there is a parachute display.
Boscombe Down is the home of British Flight Test and of course the oldest Test Pilots school in the world…Empire Test Pilots School. Aviation has been at Boscombe Down since 1912 and birds before that!!
