More of an add on the the Russian Maverick thread than anything else.
Some of you seem to be quite knowledgable about ATGM weapons and there effectiveness. So here is the question. During “Desert Storm” most of the battles took place in open desert country with no-where to hide a tank and so armour was vulnerable, in “Deliberate Force” battles took place in vast areas of woodland and NATO failed to do serious damage to a rather small army (as it was later revealed). Could a large armoured assault by a larger army seriously be stopped with todays weaponry by CAS aircraft given the areas in which to conceal armour (forests and mountain ranges)? Take into acount the ability or in-ability of sensors to distinguish between static vehicles and natural objects.
