Can anyone identify what type of HUD is fitted to this aircraft?
It is a Sukhoi Su-30 Blue 04 that was displayed near Moscow about two weeks ago…is it a Sagem HUD (the Su-30MK is probably an MKI version bound for India> If you want a bigger picture send me a private message…
The next picture is the Su-30MKI (I was told it was an MKI) that was displayed during Lima 2001….

You could start by looking at Ebay but most of the sites you will find will prove quite expensive.
It all depends who you want, obviously those that are still alive are relatively easy to get but contemporary WW2 ones, such as
Guy Bibson
etc, will be very expensive.
Try a google search on pilot autographs or have a look ar Aeroclocks.com
Hope that helps,

did he fly bancasters in the bambusters raid??

Pilot Signatures/ WW II
As part of a Spitfire restoration team in Western Canada I have collected a number of RCAF/RAF Spitfire pilot signatures. We have these signatures on various Spitfire prints, books etc. If you contact me I will see what I can do and provide you a list of pilot names. pjmurphy@shaw.ca

Hi Jodie,
As an engineer he may like the old experimental aircraft (example Fairey Delta 1 and 2 TSR2 etc) series of firstday covers which were signed both by the test pilots and the designers/engineers. they go for about £5 to £50 depending on who signed it.
Ebay is a good place to look but there are other sales outlets which are just as good. I’ll pm you with a link
regards and good luck
Cliff

There used to be a skydiving school there. So there is a very remote chance that the Bristish Parachute Association could help.

Ah the Sucklings! Now transformed into Scotairways operating Dornier 328s out of LCY. I’ve a number of friends who started their airline careers with that lot.

Yes true, all gone now, the airfield will be retro, set around 1984-87. In the days of Suckling airways etc.

They would have to be old as the council closed the airfield several years ago. I think it’s now a housing estate.

Probably worth asking this in ‘General aviation’, unless your after old views of the airfield

May I suggest a look at the program Microsoft Frontpage? It may not be everyone’s favourite, but it is similar enough to Word to enable a Word user to work on a webpage.

Back in my youth for French O-level, I did the development and production of the SEPECAT Jaguar, which inolved a lot of translation of english-based articles into French, if that is any help. I would have thought there must be enough info out there still(?)
Good luck, as Moggy said.

Best to repost this on the military forum.
I’m not conscious of many French contributors here, nore there being much of interest in French light aviation at the moment other than some airspace changes down the area from Macon southwards. There may be something on the militart forum. Our neighbours always seem to be generating expensively independently produced aircraft starting with the letter ‘M’
Is the demise of Concorde, largely down to French perfidy relevant? If so repost to the commercial forum.
Good luck.

I take it that the F-27 cockpit is the one on E-bay for £400. Looks a nightmare from the photos of it. Didn’t like the way the control collumns had been cut off…ouch. 😀
