Question for our Malaysian friends

In this months Air International in the talk back section, this fellow from Malaysia stated

“As Usual, the Flanker won the air show war at lima 01 though in real combat conditions it is inferior to the current F/A 18-Ds of the RMAF 18th Squadron let alone the Superhornet”

“After experience of Russian support witht he MiG-29 and Flanker horror stories coming out of India and China, the RMAF and Malaysian government are justifiably sceptical about Russian Promises. Other factors tilt the RMAF and the Malaysian government in Boeings favour”

to sum it up, he was anti Russia, pro Super Hornet stating Malaysia will get AESA radar and JHCMS. He was very anti MiG-29 using the loss of the MiG-29 as an example of its inferiority.. any comments?

I’ve heard total opposites of what the Malaysian military thinks, ranging from Pro Sukhoi, and now Pro Boeing..
