Reports from India

There have been a sea of reports flowing out of India about defense aquasitions for the air force, and i need people’s opinion on them. here are some of those reports,
1) The report of the IAF aquiring 126 Mirage 2000-5 aircraft? this comes as a real surprise as India is manufacturing about 140 Su-30MKI as well, does this have any implications on the LCA project?
2) The 30 billion dollar deal it has signed with Russia for defense sales for the next 10 year. Which includes the joint development of the 5th generation fighter, and the joint development of the trasport aircraft.
3) The report that IAF is planning to send 25 pilots a year for 3 years to the UK for training on the Hawk. Does this imply that the deal for the hawk has gone through finally? One of the deals of the hawk package was that BAe will train pilots in UK till the first Hawk a/c are dilivered to India.
4) IAF wanting to aquire 3 of the Airbus Buisness jet for trasport of the VVIP’s? what aicraft would this be? the A-310 or A-330??
5) IAF and Indian Army holding joint excersises with the USAF in Alaska???? most confusing of all, how is the IAF going to go around deploying assets to Alaska for exersices and would it not be more practical to have them in India itself? I have never heard of any previos reports of India sending a/c to other nations for training, i have heard of the pilot exchange programs but not of aircraft. Is this a change in policy?

The most intresting is however the deal for the mirages, i am sure PAF is going to have to do a lot of thinking over that.
210 Su-30MKI(50 from Russia and 140 built by HAL) and 170 Mirage 2000(50 + 120) is going to be a force to be recokend with, not the mention the Mig-29s, Jags, and the Mig-21-93.
