Australian Military Equpiment- P-2 Neptune

The neptune served us well for many years and was one of the last planes to receive a code from the war series codes A89 series. They were eventually replaced by the P-3 Orions in 1980.

They wore three different scheemes during their service, in subsequent order they are:
1. All over deep matt blue
2. Deep gloss blue under surface with white on top and
3. Light storm grey with white on top

I remember seeing one clip wings with a Mustang at the Bankstown airshow back in 1992, though no one was hurt, the organisers felt it nessarcery to close the show for the day, which was very bad for the public.

“We the unknowing who have been doing so much for so long with so little, now attempt to do the impossible with nothing”!
