I've just had it confirmed!

There was a post the other day about the SH-2G(A)’s still not flying, before I said anything to make myself look stupid (now there’s a first 😛 )

Anyway, these past two weeks I’ve seen the RAN’s Seakings, Seahawks and Super Seasprites all flying near my place heading towards Sydney, and they fly back late of a night!

What they have been doing I don’t know, but the point is, the SS are flying! My buddy who is a Chief Petty Officer based a HMAS Sterling in WA, said that the SS are having programing troubles and won’t interface with certain things!

Also of interest was the reference to the Seahawks up in the gulf on the ANZAC class FFH, HMAS Arunta. Apparently it’s a tight fit, the hanger is almost big enough for it, they actually have to put it in on an angle to close the door, hmmm. And the flight deck will need to be looked at when it gets back, but in all, the RAN is really happy with the Seahawk’s performance!
