Can the JSF really replace the A-10 ?

The JSF (F-35) is a really fine plane in my opinion and a good F-16 replacement, but do the users of this board think that it can really replace the A-10 ?? The A-10 is armored, has a long loiter time and the slow speed is helpful when escorting helos during Sandy missions. Furthermore the A-10 can carry a huge amount of ammo.
I have real doubts if the F-35 can do the CAS and Sandy missions as good as the A-10 can.
