I remember reading a few years back about the loss of the US Navy’s first female F-14 pilot, Lt.Kara Hultgreen, apparently an engine let go on approach to her carrier and while her RIO ejected safely, her own ejection was too late and she was found still strapped in her seat near the wreckage at the bottom of the sea. Does anyone know where there is any more information regarding this accident, and also what is everyone’s view on female aircrew, particularly frontline aircrew as i know this can be a thorny subject. Look forward to reading your replies, Cheers, Dazza.
