With the F-22 a long time in coming probably end of this decade…i was sitting at home reading the apr 2001 edition of airforces monthly and i thought to myself how big a change will stealth be in a dogfight say against a SU-MKI or espeially the euro typhoon.
With euro typhoon having its ECR 90 radar and its pirate infra-red search and track system (IRSTS) , could the eurofighter typhoon theoretically search and engage the F-22 even though it has such a low radar signiture??. What other avenues does eurofighter have in identifying stealthy aircraft??.
i only write in because of what happened to the f-117 in kosovo (shot down) and apparantley didn’t operate in rainy conditions.
