AV-8B Harrier II

Can anyone tell me how well the Harrier II has served the USMC. It would seem to be the perfect aircraft for them and from what I know its has had a good career both with the USMC and abroad. How popular an aircraft is the AV-8B as opposed to others such as the F/A-18 and EA-6 within the USMC with pilots and such. How good of a fighter is it now that is has APG-65 and AIM-120 and maybe AIM-7. What about CAS? Does it compare well to the A-10 or Su-25?
