In the last IDF/AF magazine there is an article on the new attack
option of the cargo helicopter CH-53.
It appears that the two fuel tanks on the external stations are exchange by two launchers contained four NIMROD missiles each.
Despite the reducing range of the CH-53 after the transformation, the basic idea was to able a better self-defence capability & in
any case, the air refueling option is still available.
