Bring back ADC?

With all the talk about homeland defense of the USA and possibly establishing a separate command for such a purpose, would it be within reason to resurrect the old Air Defense Command? Their sole mission would be defense of the US, and would free ACC of that role (which it took on from ADC around 1980). Maybe a few SAM batteries as well.
