Arrested Plane Spotters

I fail to understand why 12 people have been arrested in Greece for collecting aircraft serial numbers, all of which are available through magazines and publications, i can understand the officials concerned seeing this as a terrorist threat, but are they aware the information is already out there, maybe they have something they don’t want us to see??????
