Suppose that somehow Pakistan ended up declaring war on the US (for example a coup by an Islamic faction within the military).
From a strictly military perspective this war would be extremely interesting.
Not only is Pakistan a nuclear power but it has a well trained military and is also a significant user of Western military hardware (e.g. F-16/A/B, Mirage III/5,P-3C, AH-1).
An interesting question arises as to whether the USA could obtain air superiority as fast it has done in Iraq, Yugoslavia and now Afghanistan.
The Pakistanis may use a lot of outdated equipment but thier pilots are believed to be some of the best in the world.
How would the pilots fare against US forces?
