RAF Hawk crash – pilot ejected

“A pilot has ejected to safety as an RAF plane crashed on to farmland.

“The Hawk from RAF Valley on the Isle of Anglesey, north Wales, came down shortly before 3pm on land near the village of Mona.

“A spokesman for the North Wales force said the pilot has been taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd, the hospital at Bangor, with slight facial injuries.

“He says police, fire and ambulance are at the scene and a minor road between Mona and Bodffordd was closed.”
