Orgizational questions

I’ve never been able to figure out how troops are organized into divisions/batallions/regiments etc. Could someone break the structure down for me and tell me approximate numbers of people in each and can u tell me how planes are organized with approximate numbers? Or, if anyone knows where I can get this basic information, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
