Pulse Doppler Radar Weaknesses

Reading some more about the beam manuever I started thinking
this seems familiar. Then I remember I had seen a diagram of
this before, somewhere? I found the diagram in the book,
“Modern Air Combat” by Bill Gunston and Mike Spick. This is on
page seventy-two. The book was writen in 1983! I remembered
something else, when I read the book, “Flight Of The Intruder”
by Stephen Coontz, an A-6 Intruder escaped a Mig.-21 over North
VietNam by turning in a direction that was perpendicular to the
Mig.’s course and the Mig. lost radar lock and contact. This
was on pages two hundred to two ten and this book was writen in
1986. So this problem has been known for a long while. Why the
software has not been change is unkown to me? If this problem
occurs more with the higher frequencies program the software so
the radar drops to a lower frequency range when it first detects
a lateral movement. That way detection can be maintained, only
radar lock is lost.
