parachute deployed AAM

I have an idea- a fighter `launches’ a missile for example it knows there are enemy aircraft headed- and especially the enemy aircraft have advantage of BVR missiles. Our fighter’s AAM however does not ignite- instead a parachute deploys and it hovers in the area till its seeker acquires the enemy planes IR signature- then it goes active and booster ignites. By now our fighter is well out of the area and safe from any enemy missile fire.
