MiG-25 Foxbat

What is your opinion of the fastest fighter to ever fly? The MiG-25 seems to have been the subject of debate. I for one happen to think it is a fine aircraft, while not perfect, but it has proven somewhat effective (more so than the MiG-23). The Foxbat has had some export success, as it serves with Algeria, Libya, Syria and the Ukraine as well as Russia. Iraq and India also operate the aircraft. I could be forgetting someone and if I have just mention the country. I think the aircraft has proven to be an invaluable reconnaissance aircraft. For years it was unable to be intercepted. I am not sure if a recce model was ever shot down although I do know of some fighter versions that were nabbed by Israeli F-15’s. I could be wrong on that though. As most of us know, on the first night of the Gulf War and Iraqi MiG-25PD shot down a USN F/A-18C, therefore scoring the first and only A/A kill for Iraq. (Other than the friendly fire incident with the MiG-23 and MiG-29.) That same MiG went on to scare both an A-6 and A-7 before evading Allied planes and landing safely. I have heard that Iraqi MiG-25 (and Mirage F-1) pilots are pretty good though, and they even prefer the Foxbat over the Fulcrum and other planes in the Iraqi Air Force. So what do you guys think…..superfighter or dud?

P.S. When I say superfighter I don’t mean invincible or perfrect I just mean successful in this case..don’t take that literally.
