I’ve noticed a few topics touching on this so I decided to do a seperate ‘purpose built’ topic. So here it goes.
I’ve heard some people say that small aircraft carriers are better because its less of a loss if it gets sunk than a big carrier.
And then you’ve got the sensible people who think(well know) that the only good aircraft carrier is a big carrier. When I say big I would class this as France’s CdG or bigger(up to USA’s supercarriers). This are the only ships that can deploy a decently sized air group(even the CgG can only just do this).
In a high intensity conflict its only the US’s supercarriers that would make a difference or survive.
People say that the RN’s future CVF are going to be supercarriers but what does this make a USS Nimitz:)!
I’m British and although we now have three operational invincible class carriers i’m still embarrassed to say that they belong to us:(.
Go and have a look at a invincible class carrier.
impressive isn’t it. Don’t make me laugh, what a loada sh*t:)!
It not really invincible is it:)!
So what do you lot think about this then? (I know what I think!)
regards, ARKID.
