I was reading something at BR and this came to my attention. Made a search and some other thighs did turn up which i have provided links to below the snippet. Actually its an Electronic Intelligence gathering plane from what this says. Dunno what, its kind of confusing, can someone clear this up for me.
“In the draft of the program of the military and technical cooperation(VTS) of Russia and India was included the subject of the creation for India of an M-55RTR type airplane.The designation of the airplane is not being disclosed, but we are talking about, with a great degree of veracity, an electronic intelligence(RADIOTEKHNICHESKAYA RAZVEDKA) airplane. For the time being there are no reports whether the subject of the creation of an M-55RTR was included in the Russian and Indian VTS program. In the opinion of the FGUP Myasishchev EhMZ, OKR is required for an M-55RTR, which should be financed by the India side….The state budget debts are telling extremely negatively on the activity of the enterprise – it was 7 months in arrears for wages for 1999, and in this year – 3 months. Since January of this year, wages have gone up at the enterprise on average of 2,700 rubles a month.”
