The MiG-21 Combat Record

Hello All,

As we know the MiG-21 was the darling of many airforces, with an approximate 8000 numbers serving with all the airforces across the world and with the potential of reaching 50 years of service in some.

However its combat record was not much to write about mainly because it was not employed properly. Tom and Skyler’s site has excellent info on aircombat but I thought I should compile a thorough record of its aircombat by type.

I would like contributors to post a Country name and give a brief record of its service and list the combat kills and losses. This should cover defections (Where applicable). Links are also welcome.
