Europe better off without America??

After watching tv over the past few days with President Bush trying to make us join up to his “starwars” thing, i asked myself would we be better off withut America?? I mean the majority of countries arnt fussed about the scheme. So, if we (the whole off Europe) said a big “no ” to Bush, would we be better off? well for starters militery aid + weapons would dry up, but this would lead Euopean areospace industries to take over expand. they could deveplope there own weapons and aircraft like Sweden, instead of buying American. it would also mean that there would be no american troops o halp out, so it would get the Eurokorps of the ground. Good idea?
