Oklahoma City Blues

LAST EDITED ON 08-06-01 AT 06:32 PM (GMT)[p]On 19th April 1995, Timothy McVeigh let explode the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma, killing 168 people and injuring more than 500 people.

Next monday (11 june 2001) he will be executed according to the Federal law.

I need some reactions, especially from Americans as they are emotionally envolved in the whole situation.

There was an interresting article about it in The NY Times Magazine (Humo, page 156).
I have some questions about it:
– This is the first federal execution since 38 years.
– How will be he executed? With the injection or with the chair?
– Are they showing his execution on the internet or is it just a hoax?
– What was his motivation to attack the building?
– Was he alone? There’s another guy called Terry Nichols, but he has life sentence.

As a social-left myself, normally i’m against death penalty, but in this case I think, nor the government, nor the prosecuter had the option not to let him execute.
He feels no remorse about his actions and if one asked “what about the kids who died?” he said “that’s collateral damage”.
Says enough huh.

Reactions please.

I need the info coz I need to be prepared for my oral exam dutch.
